The rules covering the Outpost app and the guides and tools sold on this site — including, plainly stated, the limits of what any of it can promise.

These terms apply to the Outpost mobile application and to the country guides, cheat sheets and tax tools published by NomadSorted. Using the app or buying a product means accepting them.
Outpost is not an emergency service and must never be relied on as one. It prepares and prompts; it does not summon help.
Specifically, and without exception:
Treat every safety feature as a helpful prompt layered on top of your own precautions, never as a substitute for them.
The guides, cheat sheets, tax tools and in-app calculations are general information. They are not legal, immigration, tax or financial advice, and no professional relationship is created by reading or buying them.
Visa rules and tax law change often, vary by nationality and by individual circumstance, and are applied by officials with discretion. Each guide states the date its contents were verified and prints a table of what could not be confirmed. Confirm anything you intend to rely on with the relevant authority or a qualified professional before acting.
The day counters and tax tools organise information you enter. They do not compute anyone's tax liability, do not determine eligibility for any exclusion or visa, and their output is not a filing.
Outpost stores your records on your own device and keeps no copy. That is a deliberate privacy choice with a direct consequence: if you lose the device, or uninstall the app, the data is gone and we cannot restore it. Use the export function in Settings to keep your own backups.

Products are sold and delivered through our payment processor, which acts as merchant of record and handles payment, applicable sales tax or VAT, and file delivery. Your purchase is with them on our behalf.
Digital products are delivered immediately on payment. Because a file cannot be returned once downloaded, sales are final — but if a product is not what was described, is corrupted, or does not download, contact us and we will replace it or refund it.
Where a product is described as including future updates, that means updates published while the product remains available. It is not a promise of a particular update on a particular date.
A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the material for yourself. You may print it, copy it to your own devices and keep it indefinitely.
You may not resell, redistribute, publish or share the files, or reproduce substantial parts of them publicly. Quoting a short passage with attribution is fine.
Outpost is provided free of charge, for personal use, as-is. You may not redistribute modified versions, or present it as your own.
The app, the guides and the tools are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Public data feeds the app relies on may be unavailable, delayed or wrong, and the app will say so where it can detect it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NomadSorted is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app or the materials, including missed deadlines, refused visas, tax outcomes, travel disruption, or reliance on a safety feature that did not fire. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
These terms may change; the date above changes with them. Continuing to use the app or the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
